With a deep passion for natural wood veneer, Mr. Wen-Chuan Huang founded Hung Geng Industrial Co., Ltd. 40 years ago.
Through a series of serendipitous events, he established the Chia-Chia Line Wood Factory near the red-brick courtyard residence of Taiwan’s first-generation Western painter, Lee Shih-Chiao. Rooted in natural wood and coexisting harmoniously with the historic home, Hung Geng began its journey—growing and branching out to build a thriving wood industry legacy.
Since the second generation, Ms. Kuei-Lin Huang, took the helm, the accumulated experience and craftsmanship of two generations have transformed natural wood—so closely connected to people—into a medium of endless creativity.
The original, rustic texture of wood and the emotional connection between people and nature are now deeply woven into everyday life, one grain at a time.

Looking to the future, we hope to contribute to Taiwan’s majestic mountain ranges—by establishing trailhead markers and, eventually, constructing mountain huts—offering something meaningful in return to the land that has always sustained us.

With the look and feel of solid wood—without needing solid wood itself—we extend the possibilities of veneer beyond traditional limits. Backed by decades of expert craftsmanship from our wood factory, we use this foundation to drive creative design and help transform the traditional industry we come from.
